DAY 1. – BARCELONA Welcome to Barcelona. Upon arrival, private transfer by a luxury car, Mercedes or Audi, with an English speaking driver. Accommodation in Barcelona. DAY 2. - BARCELONA Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Private sightseeing tour (2h), by luxury a car with an English-speaking driver. Meet your driver and enjoy a panoramic sightseeing of Barcelona city and, by the end of this tour, you will have gained complete vision of the city and highlights of Barcelona, a cosmopolitan Mediterranean city. Discover the façade of the Cathedral, the facade of the Sagrada Familia (Barcelona's most universal symbol) and continue to the Olympic Village, the Columbus monument and then on to the Montjuïc Mountain, with the Olympic Stadium and Sant Jordi Palace. Finish in the Gothic Quarter where you can stroll through the narrow streets and local shops. Afternoon, you will enjoy a private tapas tour, taverns and bars experience (2h). Meet your local guide to enjoy the most inescapable element of Spanish cuisine: Tapas tour, popular all over the world. In all Spain's cities you will find bars, taverns & markets specialized in tapas. Spend few hours escorted by an expert guide who will point out little-known cultural and gastronomic landmarks, while listening to stories and legends of this tapas culture during the tour. The stops includes: 4 “Pintxos” with 1 glass of wine, beer or soda in a traditional bar and 2 Tapas with 1 glass of wine, beer or soda in a tavern of Barcelona. Accommodation in Barcelona. DAY 3. - BARCELONA Buffet breakfast. This morning you will learn to cook the most famous Spanish dishes in a Spanish cooking class (4h+1h market visit). The chef will lead you through the elaboration of a 4-course Spanish meal, which you will cook while exchanging experiences with your small group classmates from all over the globe, sharing laughter, wine and local food to nibble on throughout the cooking lesson. Eat the menu you prepared complemented with great local wines. Menus will vary according to season and available fresh products in local markets, to ensure the freshest and flavorful results, but they usually consist in two different tapas, a main dish (generally paella, either seafood, vegetarian or chicken) and will finish with a traditional Spanish dessert. Visit La Boquería Market with the chef to buy ingredients and learn more about the recipes. Accommodation in Barcelona DAY 4. – BARCELONA Buffet breakfast and enjoy a private tour to the gourmet winery area of Penedés (5h). Located in less than an hour from Barcelona, between the plains of the Mediterranean coast and the nearby mountains and discover this region, with its wealth of art, culture and countryside. The region produces worldwide prestigious wines of exceptional quality. Visit one of the most famous wineries with wine tasting at the end. Local flavors that will immerse you, not only in the art of pairing, but also in the local culture and gastronomy. Afternoon, enjoy a Spanish paella dinner in a restaurant with the most privileged views that can be enjoyed from a wonderful terrace overlooking the sea. The paella is a rice dish originally from the Valencian Community and it is one of the best-known dishes in Spanish cuisine. From the restaurant terrace, located just below Frank Gehry's Golden Fish, Marina Bay offers spectacular views of the sea, the Olympic Port or the promenade. Accommodation in Barcelona. Pricing, Inclusions & Exclusions
- Prices are per person unless stated otherwise, and may change at any time until your booking confirmation is issued.
- The Inclusions and Exclusions listed on this page are specific to this tour — anything not listed under Inclusions is excluded from the price.
- Prices exclude local taxes, charges, gratuities, food and beverages, and transfers unless expressly stated otherwise. Gratuities are entirely at your discretion.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Student and senior (60+) pricing requires valid ID at the time of booking and on the day of travel.
- Group tariffs may be available for parties of 10 or more — contact us for a quote.
Amendments & Cancellations
- Amendments to this booking can be made by contacting us at least 96 hours before the departure date.
- Cancellation notice must be received at least 1 week before departure, otherwise a 100% cancellation charge applies.
- Theatre tickets, dining products, and overnight tours cannot be amended or cancelled unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
- For health or pandemic-related cancellations, options may include a travel credit voucher, rebooking on flexible dates, or a full refund, subject to the specific product's conditions.
- If you miss a coach tour through no fault of 1860 Travels, no refund will be issued; a discounted rebooking rate may be offered as a gesture of goodwill.
Refunds & Compensation
- If a venue cannot be visited during the tour due to unforeseen circumstances, a partial refund of the admission value may be issued at our discretion.
- No refund is given for non-operational air conditioning or washroom facilities on an assigned vehicle.
- Refund requests cannot be accepted more than 30 days after the tour's completion.
- Approved refunds are processed within 15–20 working days via the original payment method.
- Third-party tours where 1860 Travels acts as an agent are non-refundable and subject to the supplier's own terms.
Payment
- Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified.
- We accept Visa and MasterCard and charge no service fee, though your card issuer may apply its own charges.
- Customer payments are held in a dedicated client money trust account until your booking is completed or cancelled.
