Guided tour of Hong Kong's heritage with tram ride and food tasting
Description
Ever pondered the rich history of this bustling metropolis? Let's journey back in time to explore the bygone era of Hong Kong. The city's timeless elements and characteristics subtly resonate with its modern diversity. This nostalgic tour offers a chance to experience the city's colourful heritage, featuring a tram ride and a leisurely stroll through the old town. The tour begins at Tai Ping Shan Street, a steep and narrow road that stands as a testament to Hong Kong's early colonial history. Alongside houses and temples lining the slope, you'll discover charming boutiques, trendy cafés, and contrasting art galleries. Next, you'll encounter an eclectic fusion of street art adorning the old streets. Walls, shutters, and even entire buildings are transformed into canvases for exquisite graffiti and murals by both local and international artists. The journey continues to Tai Kwun, Cantonese for 'Big Station', formerly known as the Central Police Station and Prison Compound. Following its revitalisation, it now serves as a centre for heritage and arts. Finally, no exploration of a city is complete without sampling its culinary delights. Hong Kong is a true gourmet paradise, offering local favourites such as egg tart, wonton noodles, and sugarcane juice. Join this tour and savour the rich tapestry of Hong Kong's past while indulging in its present.
