Day 1: Arrival in Lima Upon your arrival in Lima, our local team will await you at the airport and provide a seamless transfer to your hotel. Once settled in, take some time to unwind and explore the surrounding area at your own pace. Day 2: Lima Half-Day City Tour & Culinary Experience (B, L) Begin your adventure with a guided half-day city tour, exploring Lima’s historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through the charming streets, admire colonial-era architecture, and visit iconic landmarks such as the Plaza Mayor and San Francisco Monastery. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in Lima’s renowned food scene with a culinary experience. Discover a bustling local market, sample exotic Peruvian fruits, and participate in a hands-on cooking session to prepare traditional dishes like ceviche. Day 3: Flight to Puerto Maldonado & Amazon Adventure (B, L, D) Early in the morning, you’ll be transferred to the airport in Lima for your flight to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival, our team will welcome you and take you to the office to store any extra luggage. Then, enjoy a scenic two-hour boat ride along the Lower Madre de Dios River, spotting wildlife along the way. In the afternoon, explore Cocha Caimán, where you can observe black and white caimans. As the sun sets, take in the breathtaking Amazon views before returning to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening at the bar Day 4: Puerto Maldonado Amazon Adventure Day 2 (B, L, D) Start your day with the sounds of the Amazon and a hearty breakfast before trekking through the rainforest to Apu Víctor Lake. From the viewpoint, enjoy panoramic views and spot wildlife like parrots, macaws, toucans, caimans, and possibly Giant Otters. After lunch at the lodge, visit Monkey Island, where you’ll observe playful primates in their natural habitat. End the day with a stunning sunset and a relaxing evening at the lodge Day 5: Flight to Cusco & Transfer to Sacred Valley (B, L) After breakfast, take a scenic boat ride back to Puerto Maldonado, where you’ll collect your luggage before heading to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, descend into the Sacred Valley, allowing time to acclimate to the altitude. Along the way, visit the Pisac Ruins, an ancient Incan site with impressive terraces and stunning panoramic views of the valley. Day 6: Sacred Valley with Train To Aguas Calientes (B, L) Explore the Salt Mines of Maras, the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo, and the circular agricultural terraces of Moray. In the afternoon, embark on a half-day Cusco city tour, exploring the historic Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), the artistic San Blas district, and the vibrant San Pedro Market. End your tour at Sacsayhuamán, an impressive Inca fortress with breathtaking views over Cusco Day 9: Rainbow Mountain Vinicunca (B, L) Set out on an early morning adventure and soak in the tranquility of the Andes. Marvel at the breathtaking Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain, where vibrant red landscapes blend with sightings of llamas and alpacas. Pricing, Inclusions & Exclusions
- Prices are per person unless stated otherwise, and may change at any time until your booking confirmation is issued.
- The Inclusions and Exclusions listed on this page are specific to this tour — anything not listed under Inclusions is excluded from the price.
- Prices exclude local taxes, charges, gratuities, food and beverages, and transfers unless expressly stated otherwise. Gratuities are entirely at your discretion.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Student and senior (60+) pricing requires valid ID at the time of booking and on the day of travel.
- Group tariffs may be available for parties of 10 or more — contact us for a quote.
Amendments & Cancellations
- Amendments to this booking can be made by contacting us at least 96 hours before the departure date.
- Cancellation notice must be received at least 1 week before departure, otherwise a 100% cancellation charge applies.
- Theatre tickets, dining products, and overnight tours cannot be amended or cancelled unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
- For health or pandemic-related cancellations, options may include a travel credit voucher, rebooking on flexible dates, or a full refund, subject to the specific product's conditions.
- If you miss a coach tour through no fault of 1860 Travels, no refund will be issued; a discounted rebooking rate may be offered as a gesture of goodwill.
Refunds & Compensation
- If a venue cannot be visited during the tour due to unforeseen circumstances, a partial refund of the admission value may be issued at our discretion.
- No refund is given for non-operational air conditioning or washroom facilities on an assigned vehicle.
- Refund requests cannot be accepted more than 30 days after the tour's completion.
- Approved refunds are processed within 15–20 working days via the original payment method.
- Third-party tours where 1860 Travels acts as an agent are non-refundable and subject to the supplier's own terms.
Payment
- Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified.
- We accept Visa and MasterCard and charge no service fee, though your card issuer may apply its own charges.
- Customer payments are held in a dedicated client money trust account until your booking is completed or cancelled.
