Mount Aso, Kusasenri and Kurokawa Onsen Day Tour from Fukuoka
Description
Embark on a journey from Fukuoka, travelling for a couple of hours to reach the Kamishiromi Kumanoza Shrine. This serene location is renowned as the filming site for the movie 'Into the Forest of Fireflies Light'. From there, your journey continues northeast to Aso Volcano, situated in Kumamoto Prefecture on Kyushu Island. This composite volcano, complete with a large caldera, stands as a symbol of Kumamoto and is a sight to behold. Your adventure doesn’t stop there. Next, you'll discover Kusasenri, a vast grassy plain that offers spectacular views of the volcanically active Nakadake Peak. Amidst this scenic landscape, you'll find a large pond where horses graze peacefully, adding to the charm of this popular feature of the Aso Geopark. To conclude your journey, indulge in the relaxing experience of an open-air bath at Kurokawa Onsen. This traditional Japanese-style hot tub will provide the ultimate relaxation after your day of exploration.
