Shanghai Day Trip of Zhujiajiao Water Town, Jade Buddha Temple and Tianzifang
Description
During this full day private Shanghai tour, you will discover the charming delights in a wonderful water town of Zhujiajiao, visit one of the most famous Buddhist shrines at Jade Buddha Temple and explore the old cultural street Tianzifang. The private tour service makes sightseeing at your pace. Professional local tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby at 09:00 am. Drive for about one hour to arrive at Zhujiajiao Water Town, an ancient water town besetting in lakes and mountains. The unique old bridges, well‐structured courtyards and calm rivers and shy willows, all make the town a land of antiquity, leisure and tranquility. Endowed with another elegant name ‐ 'Pearl Stream' ‐ Zhujiajiao is the best‐preserved among the four ancient towns in Shanghai. Lunch will be on your own to taste the local cuisine. In the afternoon, transfer you to visit the Jade Buddha Temple, one of the most famous Buddhist shrines in the city. The two precious jade Buddhist statues are not only rare cultural relics but also porcelain artworks. Both the Sitting Buddha and the Recumbent Buddha are carved with whole white jade. Then explore the old Cultural Street Tianzifang. Like Xintiandi, Tianzifang is one of a small number of old Shanghai shikumen buildings. The difference is the vivid live atmosphere stimulated from Tianzifang. After that, private transfer will take you back to your hotel.
