Operational notes: Day 1: A morning flight is required. Day 5: The Vine and Wine Museum is closed on Mondays. Day 6 The Pucara of Tilcara is closed on Mondays Day 7: The High Mountain Museum is closed on Mondays. Due to the closure of Cabildo (TUE) and San Miguel Market (SUN), the points of interest to visit will be modified. Day 1 Tucumán/ Tafí del Valle. D Arrival in Tucumán, the Garden of the Republic, named for its lush vegetation and the beauty of its forests, rivers and mountains. Before starting our trip to Tafi del Valle, we will make a brief tour of the city visiting the most important civic sites. At the end of the tour we head to Yerba Buena, known as "Garden City", to taste a classic of Tucumán gastronomy, milanesa sandwich, a popular dish that has become an identity mark for Tucumán people. After lunch we start our way to Tafi del Valle to finally arrive at Estancia de las Carreras. Total distance travelled: 106 km (65 miles) Travel time: 3 hours Maximum altitude: 1900 msnm (6233 ft) Day 2 & 3 Tafi del Valle. B L D Staying in an Estancia allows you to enjoy the culture of typical ranches of the valley and the history that is still preserved in its foundations. During your stay, enjoy a visit to the cheese factory and dairy farm and the activities available for you. Total distance travelled: 118 km (73 miles) Travel time: 4 hours Maximum altitude: 3042 msnm (9980 ft) Day 4 Tafi del Valle / Cafayate. B In the morning we leave towards Cafayate, passing through the Abra del Infiernillo, the highest point of the route, and the Ruins of the Quilmes, one of the most important pre-Hispanic settlements of the Calchaquíes peoples. Once we visit the Interpretation Center, we continue to Cafayate, which is characterized by its high altitude vineyards, and a unique grape variety in the country, the torrontés. Total distance travelled: 106 km (65 miles) Travel time: 3 hours Maximum altitude: 1900 msnm (6233 ft) Day 5 Cafayate / Salta. B D In the morning, we visit the Wine Museum, one of the most innovative in technology in the country, and then we head to Salta visiting the Quebrada de las Conchas, with its curious formations, product of wind and water erosion. Arrival at Estancia San Agustin, an estancia dating back to 1709, which used to be one of the most valuable cattle ranches of that time. Total distance travelled: 172 km (106 miles) Travel time: 6 hours Maximum altitude: 1683 msnm (5521 ft) Day 6 Salta. B D Today we explore the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Natural and Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Total distance travelled: 570 km (354 miles) Travel time: 13 hours Maximum altitude: 3012 msnm (9881 ft) Day 7 Salta. B Today we dedicate the day to enjoy the Estancia dedicated to the breeding of Peruvian Paso horses. At the appointed time, transfer to the city for a brief tour of the city, visiting the MAAM (Museum of High Mountain Archaeology), responsible for disseminating and preserving the "Children of Llullaillaco", one of the most important archaeological discoveries of recent decades. Total distance travelled: 25 km (15 miles) Travel time: 1 hours Maximum altitude: 1152 msnm (3779 ft)

Pricing, Inclusions & Exclusions
  • Prices are per person unless stated otherwise, and may change at any time until your booking confirmation is issued.
  • The Inclusions and Exclusions listed on this page are specific to this tour — anything not listed under Inclusions is excluded from the price.
  • Prices exclude local taxes, charges, gratuities, food and beverages, and transfers unless expressly stated otherwise. Gratuities are entirely at your discretion.
  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Student and senior (60+) pricing requires valid ID at the time of booking and on the day of travel.
  • Group tariffs may be available for parties of 10 or more — contact us for a quote.
Amendments & Cancellations
  • Amendments to this booking can be made by contacting us at least 96 hours before the departure date.
  • Cancellation notice must be received at least 1 week before departure, otherwise a 100% cancellation charge applies.
  • Theatre tickets, dining products, and overnight tours cannot be amended or cancelled unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
  • For health or pandemic-related cancellations, options may include a travel credit voucher, rebooking on flexible dates, or a full refund, subject to the specific product's conditions.
  • If you miss a coach tour through no fault of 1860 Travels, no refund will be issued; a discounted rebooking rate may be offered as a gesture of goodwill.
Refunds & Compensation
  • If a venue cannot be visited during the tour due to unforeseen circumstances, a partial refund of the admission value may be issued at our discretion.
  • No refund is given for non-operational air conditioning or washroom facilities on an assigned vehicle.
  • Refund requests cannot be accepted more than 30 days after the tour's completion.
  • Approved refunds are processed within 15–20 working days via the original payment method.
  • Third-party tours where 1860 Travels acts as an agent are non-refundable and subject to the supplier's own terms.
Payment
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified.
  • We accept Visa and MasterCard and charge no service fee, though your card issuer may apply its own charges.
  • Customer payments are held in a dedicated client money trust account until your booking is completed or cancelled.
