Operational notes: Day 1: Arrival on a flight before 2PM is required. The High Mountain Museum is closed on Mondays. Due to the closure of Cabildo (TUE) and Mercado de San Miguel (SUN), the points of interest to be visited will be modified. Day 3: The Pucara de Tilcara closes on Mondays. To keep in mind: • During the rainy season, DEC-MAR. The route may be affected. • Due to the characteristics of the Puna, we recommend that people with respiratory, heart or blood pressure diseases take special care. Day 1 Salta. Arrival and reception at the Salta airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, the city of Salta awaits us to explore it through a walk through its streets, churches, colonial buildings and the MAAM (Museum of High Mountain Archaeology), in charge of disseminating and preserving the "Children of Llullaillaco". Maximum altitude: 1,152 M.A.S.L. Day 2 Salta. B Today enjoy a free day to continue exploring the city through its flavors and passages. Day 3 Salta / Huacalera. B Today we explore the Quebrada de Humahuaca, Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, visiting typical and colorful villages, such as: Tilcara with its Pucara and Humahuaca, from where we reach the incredible mountain range of El Hornocal, also called Cerro de los 14 Colores, whose viewpoint is at 4350 meters above sea level. On the way back to Huacalera, we stop at the chapel of Uquía, the oldest in the Quebrada. Arrival to Huacalera. Total distance travelled: 322 km (200 miles) Travel time: 11 hours Maximum altitude: 4350 M.A.S.L. Day 4 Huacalera / Salinas Grandes. B L D Departure to the town of Purmamarca where we will make a stop to visit the Cerro de los Siete Colores and its handicraft fair. Our trip continues through the Cuesta de Lipan ascending to the Abra del Potrerillos at 4170 M.A.S.L. to finally arrive at Tres Morros from where you will be transferred to the glamping. Upon arrival, a welcome drink is the beginning of an unforgettable experience and then enjoy a photographic experience inside the salt flats. After dinner, a short hike interpreting the constellations awaits you. Total distance traveled 119 km Travel time: 3 hours Maximum altitude: 4170 M.A.S.L. Day 5 Salinas Grandes B L D After breakfast, we leave the glamping towards Barracas and after 2 hours of travel, we arrive at the point where we begin an archaeological interpretation experience. At noon, you will enjoy a gourmet picnic, then continue with a visit to the archaeological interpretation center, and then return to the glamping. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxing moment, a regional dinner accompanied by the best wines and a well-deserved rest under the starry universe. Day 6 Salinas Grandes / Salta B At mid-morning, we leave the salt flats to return to Salta. Arrival and accommodation. Total distance traveled: 156 km Travel time: 3/4 hours Maximum altitude: 44170 M.A.S.L. Day 7 Salta. B Free time until your flight time. Transfer to the airport to board your scheduled flight. Maximum altitude: 1.200 M.A.S.L. Notes: Private services throughout the tour, except for the activities provided by Pristine Camps. Day 1: The Walking tour is not available on Sundays due to the closure of San Miguel Market and on Mondays due to the closure of the High Mountain Archaeological Museum. If only these days are available, it will be replaced by a classic private visit.

Pricing, Inclusions & Exclusions
- Prices are per person unless stated otherwise, and may change at any time until your booking confirmation is issued.
- The Inclusions and Exclusions listed on this page are specific to this tour — anything not listed under Inclusions is excluded from the price.
- Prices exclude local taxes, charges, gratuities, food and beverages, and transfers unless expressly stated otherwise. Gratuities are entirely at your discretion.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Student and senior (60+) pricing requires valid ID at the time of booking and on the day of travel.
- Group tariffs may be available for parties of 10 or more — contact us for a quote.
Amendments & Cancellations
- Amendments to this booking can be made by contacting us at least 96 hours before the departure date.
- Cancellation notice must be received at least 1 week before departure, otherwise a 100% cancellation charge applies.
- Theatre tickets, dining products, and overnight tours cannot be amended or cancelled unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
- For health or pandemic-related cancellations, options may include a travel credit voucher, rebooking on flexible dates, or a full refund, subject to the specific product's conditions.
- If you miss a coach tour through no fault of 1860 Travels, no refund will be issued; a discounted rebooking rate may be offered as a gesture of goodwill.
Refunds & Compensation
- If a venue cannot be visited during the tour due to unforeseen circumstances, a partial refund of the admission value may be issued at our discretion.
- No refund is given for non-operational air conditioning or washroom facilities on an assigned vehicle.
- Refund requests cannot be accepted more than 30 days after the tour's completion.
- Approved refunds are processed within 15–20 working days via the original payment method.
- Third-party tours where 1860 Travels acts as an agent are non-refundable and subject to the supplier's own terms.
Payment
- Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified.
- We accept Visa and MasterCard and charge no service fee, though your card issuer may apply its own charges.
- Customer payments are held in a dedicated client money trust account until your booking is completed or cancelled.
